COURSE LEVELS A 1 - C 2
In accordance with the European Frame of Reference
A1 Parts 1 and 2
Provides basic grammar and vocabulary. At the end of this level students will be in a position to make themselves understood with simple sentences in everyday situations.
EXAM: Start Deutsch 1
A2 Parts 1 and 2
Teaches more complex structures such as adjective endings, subjunctive, passive, subordinate clauses and more specialised vocabulary (occupation and profession, job applications). At the end of basic level 2 students are able to express their opinions on general topics.
EXAM: Start Deutsch 2
B1 Parts 1 and 2
Completes basic grammar and vocabulary. Students are in a position to adequately communicate orally and in writing in most everyday situations as well as to understand and work with simple literary and specialist texts.
Exam: DTZ (Deutsch für Zuwanderer), telc Deutsch B1
B2 Parts 1, 2, 3
This course will enable students to express themselves, orally and in writing, on more demanding subjects and to understand original texts of medium difficulty.
EXAM: telc Deutsch B2
C1 Parts 1, 2, 3
This course lays the foundations for academic entry. Transition to advanced level. Students can understand a wider range of demanding texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

C2 Parts 1 and 2
In this level students learn to deal correctly with more demanding tasks from professional and academic life. They can summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express themselves fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.
By the end of this level students will almost speak at mother tongue level and can prepare for the Goethe exam "Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom"
• Each level consists of 2 or 3 courses (Part 1, 2 or 3) with 100 lessons each (morning and afternoon courses) or 60 lessons each (evening courses).
