Learn German at language level A1 (beginners)

What do you learn in the A1 course?

• Speaking: You will learn simple sentences to introduce yourself and talk about yourself. For example: Your name, your age and where you come from. They talk about topics such as work, family, leisure and the weather.
• Understanding: You practise understanding simple conversations. For example: asking for directions, shopping in the supermarket or communicating about an apartment, furniture and electrical appliances.
• Reading: You read short texts, for example signs, simple e-mails or job advertisements.
• Writing: You learn to write simple sentences. For example, a message to a friend, a short note or an apology for school.

Aims of the course

At the end of the course you will be able to hold simple conversations in German. They can make appointments, talk to the doctor and understand simple information. You will learn to read and write basic texts. This will help you cope better in everyday life.

In addition to the ability to speak, basic knowledge of grammar, simplelistening and reading comprehension and writing skills for the first texts are conveyed. At the end there is an internal school module test.

The course is ideal for anyone who wants to make rapid initial progress in German.
