Professional language course in early childhood education

In cooperation with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), we offer you a practical language course that is specially tailored to the requirements of early education professions. Whether you are already working in a daycare center or are preparing for a new career perspective – we will accompany you on your way, both linguistically and professionally.

Course objectives – What you can expect

Linguistic professionalization: You will learn to express yourself confidently and competently in everyday pedagogical work.
Specialist vocabulary: You will acquire specific language skills for professions such as educator, childcare worker or social assistant.
Recognized certificate: The course prepares you for the B2 DTB certificate exam – an important proof of your professional qualification.

The course is aimed at immigrants with German language skills at B1 level who would like to work in the following professional fields:

Course details

Language level: B2 (CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
Scope: 400 teaching units
Prerequisite: German language skills at B1 level
Course times: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri afternoons, 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm, classroom teaching

Registration & costs

Eligibility to participate: Obtain your eligibility via the BAMF, the employment agency or the job center.
Costs: Generally free of charge. If your taxable annual income exceeds € 20,000, the personal contribution is € 2.56 per teaching unit.
Teaching materials: Are provided in full and free of charge.
